When launching a powerful product you need an unyielding spokesperson, enter Jessi Combs.
Her larger than life automotive celebrity persona created the perfect backdrop for us to build the 1-Tank Power Renew campaign. The final campaign included the package design, B to B sales material, photography, micro-sites, digital, print advertising campaigns, and a national TV ad campaign.
The packaging needed to house a proprietary fuel funnel, convey differentiating claims, and a mountain of legal information and directions. Certainly not an ideal set of requirements, but we love a challenge.
The final design combined historical design features from CRC's other flagship products, easily fit a fuel funnel, and met the retailer's messaging requirements.
With packing design wrapped up it was time to start the multi-year campaign planned for Jessi Combs.
We kicked things off by creating our first round of creative assets. We hired the famed Dan Escobar to handle the photo shoot on location in Jessi Combs' personal shop. The assets went on to be used in a series of print and digital ads, tradeshow materials for SEMA and AAPEX, and social media posts.
The ad campaign also included gasoline and diesel specific ad versions. Our team handled art direction and brought on the well known automotive photographer Collin Chappelle to shoot a series of ads featuring a Ford F-350 diesel, Corvette Z05 and 350Z on location in the Southern California desert.
One of Jessi's strongest assets is her prolific social media following. We worked directly with her to create posts she approved for her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. Jessi has a natural eye for creative and provided valuable feedback that enabled us to create the right balance of promotion and honest communication with her followers.
